Privacy Policy

How Manx Padel uses your information to run the club and online services.

Version 2026-10-25-v5 · 25 October 2026

Who is responsible

Manx Padel Limited is responsible for the personal information used to run these services. Contact [email protected] about privacy or your rights. Our club is at Nobles Park, St Ninians Road, Douglas, Isle of Man IM2 7DL. Company number 137370C; registered office Top Floor, No. 4 West Quay, Ramsey IM8 1DW.

Information we use

We use the name, email address, mobile number and optional date of birth supplied for your account; login and security records; bookings, attendance and relevant staff notes; purchases, collection status, payments, credits and subscription history; policy acceptance and recurring-payment consent; notification preferences, delivery records and messages you send us. Payment records contain amounts, status and provider references, not your full card number or security code. Security records can include IP address, browser information and timestamps.

Why we use it

We use information to create and secure your account, provide bookings and purchases, manage membership and credits, send service messages, answer questions and keep reliable transaction records. Processing needed to provide the service is based on performance of our contract with you or steps you request before entering it. Legal obligations can require financial and compliance records. Our legitimate interests include preventing misuse, protecting accounts and investigating service problems, balanced against your rights. Where consent is the required basis for an optional use, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Agreeing to recurring payments is not consent to marketing.

Who receives information

Authorised staff have access appropriate to their work. Cashflows processes online card payments and saved-card or recurring-payment references. SendGrid provides transactional email delivery for enabled service emails, using your email address and the message content. Hosting, security and technical service providers process information needed to run the site and booking system. We may share information where legally required or needed to handle a legitimate dispute. These providers may process data outside the Isle of Man; contact us for details of the providers, processing locations and safeguards relevant to your information.

Cookies, browser storage and external content

The booking service uses an essential sign-in cookie to keep your session, and browser storage for functions such as your cart and restoring booking choices. The installed web app can cache public assets for performance. The marketing site loads self-hosted Plausible analytics for aggregate site usage; the booking app currently does not load that analytics script. The marketing Press page embeds Facebook content, which connects your browser to Meta and may use its cookies and receive browser, network and page information. External Facebook and Eatery sites have their own privacy notices. Google sign-in is currently disabled; we do not claim it is an active account provider. If enabled later, its processing will need to be explained before use.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose and the records concerned, rather than one period for every record. Relevant factors include whether your account or booking is active, accounting and legal obligations, unresolved payments or complaints, fraud prevention and the need to establish or defend legal claims. Financial, consent and audit evidence may need to remain after account closure; closure does not automatically erase it. Ask us about the retention applying to your information. We do not promise an unverified fixed deletion date.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct your information and, where the legal conditions apply, request erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing, or withdraw consent for an optional use. We may need to verify your identity and explain any records that must be retained. Contact [email protected]. You can complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner at inforights.im. Contacting us first does not remove that right.

Security and updates

We use access controls and other technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your login private and tell us if you suspect misuse. We will update this notice when the way we use information changes; the version below identifies this notice. Your privacy rights are not limited by our booking or membership terms.
